WITH 82% OF THE COMMERCIAL PLAN ALREADY SOLD
Good results from the first edition boosted the commercial launch of the event, scheduled for October 2023, again at Pro Magno
São Paulo, November 2022 – After the success of the 1st edition of Seafood Show Latin America, held between October 17th and 19th, the commercial launch of the 2nd edition, held on the last 9th, once again reinforces that the event is a fundamental business platform for the entire production chain. Organized by Francal Feiras and Seafood Brasil, the business fair for fresh and frozen fish producers, distributors, food service, slaughterhouses, importers and the auxiliary machinery chain will return to Pro Magno Centro de Eventos, in São Paulo, between the 24th and October 26, 2023.
And success was immediate. Already on launch day, 82% of the commercial plant was sold (over 1,000 m²). Valeska Oliveira, head of products at Francal Feiras, celebrated the strengthening of the fish market and the large number of people joining the event.
“This is incredible, considering that it is the second edition that will be held physically and in person. We already come up with this journey of online processes and interactions and smaller meetings. The reflection of this 82% participation in a single day is the result of what was the delivery of the Seafood Show Latin America 2022, where the sector really came together and showed belonging, engagement, strength, and organization”, she pondered.
The first edition featured business roundtables, round tables, panels, and debates, in addition to the presentation of solutions and products by exhibitors. For 2023, these exhibiting brands of the last edition will be joined by other companies, which were left out in 2022, but have already confirmed their participation.
“In addition, we also had a qualified visitation in the 1st edition. We add a lot of content with partners, especially brands. The commercial launch had new exhibitors. Those who, for some reason missed the 2022 edition, stayed tuned and are with us for next year. We will be together in 2023 with large participating companies. We have many months to work, and if someone is out, they need to organize themselves, as there is still a chance to participate. We have a product that fully adheres to the reality of the sector, both in financial terms and in proposals”, added Valeska.
The new edition reinforces Latin America’s position as a new fish hub for the entire world – today the region has a projected growth of 32.8% for the period between 2018 and 2030. Responsible for the export of US$ 20 billion of dollars, Latin American countries still consume only 10 kg of fish per year, less than half the world average, which is 20.3 kg.
“We are already bigger. Even with all this advance notice, we already have more brands confirmed for 2023 compared to what we had this year and even for that reason, we expect to grow 15% compared to 2022. So, it is a super encouraging scenario that shows the importance of the universe of fish. Companies want to show their potential to the market, both nationally and internationally”.
